Open Floor House 2010: Create the future!Open Floor House 2010: Create the future!

In line with the motto “Create the future!”, Kaindl is inviting its customers and partners to attend the Open Floor House until 15 February. Highlights of the in-house trade fair: Innovations and trends in boards and flooring – and a virtual stroll into the future of product presentation.
As has already been the case in past years, the global player from Salzburg is presenting a broad selection of its flooring and interior design products in the Open Floor House. In the process, the “future” thematic runs like a leitmotif throughout the exhibition: From the trade fair design via the new board and flooring products right through to the “Virtual Apartment”, the in-house trade fair follows the company’s guiding principle “A Step Ahead”.

Touch the future
“Optics and haptics form an inseparable entity in the Natural Touch melamine faced boards,” says managing director Doris Buchmesser, describing the world innovation from the Kaindl SPECTRUM board programme. Thanks to a special synchronisation technology, each decor image feels as realistic and authentic as a real wood surface. To begin with, the new synchronized structure is available in the finishes “Natural Touch Urban” (SU), “Natural Touch Kinetic” (SK) and “Natural Touch Expressive” (SE), with three decors each.

Enter the future
The company is also presenting a world innovation in the real wood design floorings from the Kaindl TWO collection: For the first time, “Authentic Oak” makes it possible to digitally print different wood textures onto oak planks. “The brushed real wood surfaces bring a slice of nature onto the flooring,” says Buchmesser, explaining the key advantage of the new product. From now on, depth effect is also being shown in the Kaindl THREE laminate tiles: Special structured roller effects and the surface finish with matt and high gloss varnishes count among the particular characteristics of the latest Kaindl flooring collection. And with new plank widths (244 mm) and new synchronized structure (SR – Natural Touch rustic), the Kaindl ONE collection once again proves itself to be a trendsetter in terms of laminate flooring.

Watch the future
Via a big screen, Kaindl is showing the trade fair visitors just how flooring will be presented in future: The new “Virtual Apartment”, which Kaindl has developed in cooperation with the renowned Ars Electronica Futurelab, virtually guides the viewer – with the aid of 3D glasses -through the world of Kaindl Flooring. “Here, the customer can experience their desired product with amazing realism in a lifestyle ambience and therewith make their decision more easily and quickly,” says Buchmesser, summing up the customer benefits of the innovative system. The Virtual Apartment is on show in the Open Floor House in Salzburg until 15 February.
